I gave it one star. I couldn’t play it because I have a MAC.. What a shame, but it doesn’t surprise me much.

Fun game, initially! I played it periodically for 5 days and it seemed to work fine. Then on day 5, it crashed and suddenly, although I run game with music and sounds very low, my soundcard was ruined. Not just the audio drivers, the entire soundcard! No other programs were running at the time so I have to attribute the problem to this game.
I’d avoid it, at least this particular one!

Hey, I just burned this one onto a CD, and put the CD in my TOASTER, and not only did the game not work, but it burned my HOUSE DOWN. I give this a negative infinity stars; stupid game.
I’m just posting this to offset the one-star review from the mac-tard.

I run a Vista machine and got through the stand alone game OK. I then started to play the online head to head game and got addicted to that. It’s fun and responsive but if you get too many silver coins at once it WILL lock up on you. You then have to quit out of the game which hurts your ranking, even if you had won the match. Very frustrating and pretty regularly recurring bug.

I’ve run this on two computers, a desktop with XP Home and a laptop with XP Pro, and it hasn’t crashed once.
I’m about a third of the way through the third level.
The game is timed but the pace isn’t frantic. Instead of just getting faster as one advances, as so many games do, this one gets more complicated. For example, some jewels are hidden under rocks, or every square must be cleared twice, or little monkey mask things can reset squares if not cleared properly.
I’ve gotten good enough, after losing a few times, that I’ve got the maximum of 99 special moves and twenty lives, but I’m still having fun playing. Each set offers new challenges.
Update: I have since replaced my XP Home computer with one running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and I have still had no crashes. I wonder if it’s a video driver issues for those having problems.
