Final Fantasy XI Vana’diel Collection 2008

I purchased this product based on the description (I tried to look at the picture but it was to small to tell anything) I read on the website as a gift for a friend. Along with this I purchased an “Online Expansion Pack” in case my friend was interested in doing that. I received notification that the “Online Expansion Pack” was sold out so I received a refund of my money. The product was delivered to my friend and was opened only to find out that it was only to be played “Online” for an additional monthly cost. I inquired with “Best Game Deals” the company that I purchased it through Amazon only to find out that it was nonrefundable because the item was opened. So having said all this I feel that the product was misrepresented on Amazon by “Best Game Deals” and because they were unable to do anything for me (not even a trade in for future product) I don’t believe I will be doing anything with Amazon or “Best Game Deals” in the future.

This game has not aged well at all. Quite frankly the quality of final fantasy games has been waning. This game is just boring as hell.

This was the best game of its time very highly addictive. Impossible to stop playing, just as impossible to make enough gil to keep your character upgraded through the levels. I spent lots of real money buying gil from the various chinese sites.
Staying up till 5 and 6am 5 days a week and not even sleeping on days off from work. Adventuring with your linkshell on never ending thirst to quest and level up. I played for about a year after the game was first released, leveling up a monk and started working on a palodin.
One day I came home from work and just cancelled my account. You can re-activate your account for 3 months but I never did.
Its been 4 or 5 years since I last played but from what I can tell now, other then im glad I was able to quit is that the game has not changed very much. Grpahics are a bit out dated by today’s standards but that just means you dont have to update a modern computer too much.
I still play games to this day but have been carful to steer clear of FF, WoW.

I decided to buy this game, because I needed to take a break/quit World of Warcraft. But to my surprise, it was one of the most horribly done mmo’s I have ever played. I canceled my subscription the next day from when I purchased it. Luckily it’s so old, that I managed to snag this POS game for only 15 dollars. I think it’s funny that the part where I said that I paid 15 dollars for it, got edited out the first time. Probably because the people selling it on Amazon, don’t want to know they are really ripping you off for a horrible outdated game.

After pre-ordering this game, it shipped on the 16th. After DHL handed the package to my local mailing service, which by the way is less than a mile from me, they lost my package.
So after 3 days of waiting and calling everyone, I decided to call Amazon, and told them my problem. They sent me another game, with upgraded shipping. The call took less than 5 minutes, and solved my problem. All in all, I call that great customer service, although I must wait till Friday for the game to arrive, I must say i’m satisfied with the service I recieved, and dissapointed with my local mailing service.
As far as the game itself, I will give a review after I recieve it, and play it. I have been playing World of Warcraft for about a year, and I look forward to a change of pace.
