UPS delivered to the wrong address they did not even bother with knocking on my door I know because I was there all morning! It was luck that my neighbor know how to READ an address and was honest enough to bring me the package. That not even a close neighbor by the way he one full apartment block away from me!
My address is clearly readable both on the package and the invoice it not misspelled or badly printed either! It does not matter that the package reached me that was just pure luck this is unacceptable UPS should not rely on luck not at that price! Now am off blasting Nazi somebody has to pay might has well be them! (Update on this issue Amazon was kind enough to offer a discount on the shipping for my inconvenience lesson learned when you get screwed by somebody SAY IT LOUD!)
Now for the formal review since I got to play it more. Amazing graphic and fast action but the cut scene are not in sinc with the voice this give the whole game a bad kung-fu movie style! The online part is pretty damn good.
Don’t expect Activision to release any new content (Zombie mode) or patch for online play on Wolfenstein they just layoff everybody working on that part of the game! It a great game overall but I would like it if German were to yell in German instead of in English all the time!

This game is another major let down from Id when it comes to PS3 versions of their games. Its a step backwards from Call of Duty in most every area of gameplay to graphics. I am not a big single player guy, I like pure multiplayer. Wolfenstein fails big time. There is huge lag problems. The controls are not very responsive. The characters look childish like a cartoon. The game play is simply uninspiring. Three multiplayer modes of play? Come on guys, you can do better than this. No hardcore option. Call of Duty World at War is almost a year old. It is so much better than Wolf that I feel like I am playing an original PS2 title when I compare it to CoD.
The graphics really disappointed me as well. When you get close to things, it looks horrible! It doesn’t really look like your gun is pointed at the right place. The in game money to buy things is rediculous.
I am sorry but don’t waste your money on this. You will not relieve Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I could see spending 20 bucks for this but not 60. I wasted my money. Stick with CoD WaW until Modern 2 comes out. You will be happier.

I have been playing every single release of Wolfenstein since the original Castle Wolfenstein, then going on to Beyond CW, CW 3D, and so on. Quite frankly this game is the not up to par with the pedigree of the rest of the franchise. In fact it is more like the retarded lovechild of Soul Reaver and Doom, albeit set in WWII.
I don’t want to sound overly critical, as it does hang on to some CW basics. But it does not stay true to the look, feel, gameplay, story, and overall gaming intent and sensation of previous CW releases. Also, I must say I enjoyed Return to CW more than this newer version. For example, the whole Veil concept was at all times foreign to me, I saw no reason for it, no need for it and in no way did it make the gaming experience better, more interesting or even challenging; although it did make playing the game extremely complex at times, in a very needless manner, as I had to fumble through very many buttons on my controller to get things done; and this is not my idea of good Wolfenstein fun. For me at least, Wolfenstein fun is basic and timeless: gimme guns, gimme bullets, gimme heaps of Nazis I can kill and spice it up with some freakish nightmarish adversaries. The good old KISS acronym.
The story was alright I guess, but the fact remains that CW has never had a terribly profound or complex story to it, and all these crystals with inter dimensional powers, rebel groups, arms dealers etc. really has no place in CW. Maybe this is what the younger crowds want, and I’m getting too old for this !!!!??? I personally don’t like gun upgrading, specially with all these new hi-tech weapons that have these hypertronic quantum interdimensional lensing upgrades, what on earth is all that for ???
From my point of view, CW is all about an allied soldier, in enemy territory, gunning down all the bad guys, saving the world from ultimate evil and not much more. No need for more, all I do expect are just good graphics, good sound, a fluid gameplay, nice hard hitting guns, a knife (which we don’t have anymore), and rooms full of nazis or mutant ubersoldiers, some nice gory scary gloomy settings and you have a CW home run. This new version does without many of these things, complicates gameplay quite a lot, and somehow tries to mainstream the franchise, thus taking away from its uniqueness.
Take the sewers for example, what is the real use for them, there is nothing at all interesting about them or in them, hey sure the water droplets look great on screen but there’s so much more that could have been done with this. All these maps, you have to quit the game to see, locked doors, predictable opponents, talking to too many people (I’m not here to chit chat my way through CW !!!), etc.
If I had known I probably would not have bought it, would much rather wait for the new version of CoD, or keep playing Killzone, Resistance fall of Man.
In one word – dissapointing

Pre-ordered for my husband, and he loved it! Kept playing until he beat the game. Only downer is the multi-player action.

I’m still paying it, so can’t say much about it. But I’m surprised to find that the game does not support 1080 resolution yet.
